Where do you want to be in 6 months?

Graley is such a different horse than he was 6 months ago! 🐎

6 months ago, he got off the trailer to his new home scruffy, underweight and skittish.

He’d been living like an unkempt bachelor with his buddies, and while it was clear he wanted to work and loved the work we were asking him to do, he had some serious resistance to change. It was uncomfortable. His muscles got sore. He protested in his own special horsey ways.

But with the right help and guidance, he blossomed into the stunning creature he always was, the one that was just waiting to come out.

Now everyone at the barn is raving about him. He's taking care of kids of all ages and he's regularly booked out to show off his skillz in the jumping & dressage arenas & on the trails.

He’s living his life with passion. 😀🐎

And he's 14 (middle-aged for a horse). And we didn't do everything perfectly up until now (far from it!). But when my gut said it was time to move him here, even though it made no logical sense as I was 6 months into a high-risk pregnancy and it was freezing cold out... I listened. It was a financial stretch. It was uncomfortable. The people closest to me pushed back and told me not to do it. It was scary. It was extra work... but it was also exciting and felt full of possibility.

The truth was & is, it's not too late for him; in fact, it's perfect timing because he has so much unrealized potential yet to share.

And I realized... that's my superpower. That's what I do for the people (and animals) in my life. I see their potential and I help them bring it out with the right guidance, clarity, support and accountability.
