"If you don’t know your niche, don’t start creating an opt-in."

So, that's the advice but let's take a few steps back to the beginning....

Are you solving the *right* problem?

One helpful way to know if you’re solving the right problem is to take a look at where you are in my 7 Steps of The Income Replacement Formula (if you don’t know all 7 steps, you can download the first chapter of my book for free and I review them all: http://bit.ly/tirf-free-chapter ).

I got a question in my group program this spring about creating an opt-in. It was simply because someone else on the group call had asked about an opt-in. When I asked why they wanted to start on an opt-in, they responded, “Well, it seems like the right thing to do.”

Her stage of business was she was brand new and getting started in the 7 steps of The Income Replacement Formula. She didn’t yet have a niche, which is step 3. An opt-in is part of visibility which is step 6.

I told her, “If you were to create an opt-in right now you’d have no idea who you were creating this for, what they want or need or where to put it.” Have you been tempted to jump around in your priorities when building your business?

Do you know what step you’re on in The Income Replacement Formula?
